This magnificent statue is made by the craftsmen of Nepal. It is in bronze and a part is silver-plated.

Aparmita is also known as Amitayus in Tibet and is associated with Amitabha Buddha's attribute of longevity. In Sanskrit, Amitayus means "infinite life".
Aparmita sits on a lotus pedestal with his hands in a meditative gesture (dhyana mudra) holding her identifying attribute, the elixir vessel. Here, the hand gesture, representing meditative balance, represents the unity of wisdom and compassion.
