This medicine Buddha statue is made in the city of Patan in Nepal which is known for the quality of the work of its craftsmen.
It is made of brass then covered with a partition of stones (turquoise, coral and lapiz-lazuli) which  are glued by hand to give a beautiful appearance to the statues.
Medicine Buddha, is one of the Mahāyāna Buddhas of the past, who became an emanation of Shakyamuni specializing in material and spiritual healing and protection against calamities.
