Tibetan jewelry is known for its beautiful semi-precious stones coral, lapis lazuli and turquoise . These stones are ground into a powder which is then heated and pressed. After being broken into small pieces, these pieces are carefully inlaid to the beautifully given shape of silver-plated brass (an alloy of copper and zinc).
