This white Tara statue  is made in the city of Patan in Nepal which is known for the quality of the work of its craftsmen.It is made of brass and then covered with a partition of stones (turquoise, coral and lapiz-lazuli) which  are glued by hand to give a beautiful appearance to the statues.
Green Tara is a female bodhisattva. She  is a form of the Green Tara considered to be a deity of long life and also to heal when one is seriously ill.
