This Tibetan Tingsha is made of brass by craftsman from Nepal. It consists of two cymbals joined by a leather strap. The cymbals are struck together, producing a clear, high-pitched sound. It is engraved with one of the most popular mantras in Buddhism "OM MANI PADME HUM".

Traditionally, Tingsha is used in prayer and rituals by Buddhist practitioners. Today, it is often used along with singing bowls and other instruments in meditation, music, and sound healing.

The sound OM symbolizes the body, the mind and the word of Buddha, MANI refers to the path of teaching, PADME corresponds to the dimension of wisdom of this path and HUM evokes the unification of wisdom and the path .
